Devlog week 6: Production Fase 4


Devlog 6

Greetings readers, Connor here. I'm pleased to announce that the gameplay loop and the main game framework have been completely finished. You may download the latest build to check it out for yourself. The programmers are now going to focus on incorporating the assets into the game and implementing the weapons and projectiles.

With our current framework, we are able to quickly implement weapons in record times. we implemented the banana boomerang and the coconut ball. But unfortunately, they are not inside the game as we are missing the assets for them.

The other programmer also implemented the tile sinking logic which will make the level smaller and smaller as the game goes on.

Unfortunately, we don't have anything to show from the artists as they are busy making the assets for the game and the menu.

Once we finish the menu we will upload a video of the whole gameplay loop showing off the whole game.

UI - HUD

We also worked on implementing a usable HUD, you can now see your health, energy, shield, special weapon, and ammo! However, the HUD will still need some better art, for now, they are just some placeholders. The top bar is the health, the second top is your shield, below that you can find your energy and at the bottom is your weapon and ammo.
